Here’s something a little different and it might just be the tonic if you’re looking to take a break from the spinning reels for a bit. Pin Ball is from Realistic Games and it’s actually a bagatelle-style game combined with roulette which may sound a little odd but give it a go and it becomes strangely entertaining and addictive quite quickly.
Pin Ball comprises two parts and it will all become quite clear what’s going on when you laid up the game. You will see the Pin Ball section on the left hand side of the screen and the roulette betting table on the right.
How It Works
Roulette Betting
This is the first thing you need to do and you will see from the screenshot above that you can make similar number selections as if you were playing roulette. You can bet on red/black, evens/odds, single numbers and the like and there’s an extra option here which will let you bet on whether the ball will land to the left or the right of the green zero.
Pick your chip size at the bottom and then click the section on which you would like to bet. If you want to bet two chips for example, choose the pink ‘1’ chip then click twice on the section to place the bet.
Note that there is a zero slot which is not covered by the almost-50/50 bets such as red/black and evens/odds. This game features the ‘La Partage’ rule in which a bet on one of those options will return 50% of your stake if you hit zero.
Pin Ball Table
When the bet is placed it’s time to turn our attention to the Pin Ball table. It’s a bagatelle-style game in which a ball is fired up from the bottom and then drops through the nails to land in a single number at the bottom. All you have to do is press play to start the process, there’s no option to alter the power or direction of the ball.
When the ball lands, any winnings will be paid out at the appropriate odds and it’s time for the next go; you can clear the current bets or repeat them by using the appropriate buttons below the table.
Pin Ball Betting Tips
A game such as this is an ideal opportunity to test out betting systems such as the Martingale ‘doubling up’ process. There’s no such thing as a sure thing of course but it’s fun trying.
Verdict
This is good fun and it will be a worthwhile break from a long session on the slots. Play low stakes and check out those systems you’ve been wanting to test out.
