There we were, looking forward to playing a slot machine based on Atomic Kitten, the three Liverpool lasses who san songs such as Whole Again and Be With You when we realised there was an extra ‘S’ in the title and this was in fact a Japanese-themed game with actual cats and plenty of neon. Atomic Kittens plays out on a 7 x 8 grid behind which cavort brightly coloured cats; neon blocks stack up as a backdrop and there’s a gentle soundtrack to keep things moving along.
Wins are created by landing at least twelve matching symbols anywhere in view so this essentially a giant scatter slot where no symbols need to be touching to win. Symbols in a winning combo will disappear and be replaced by more falling in from above, potentially continuing the wins.
The four coloured cats represent the high value symbols while what seem to be bowling balls in similar colours make up the lower values. The ‘Wild’ is wild and the special symbols are the coin scatters and the balls of wool.
