Birmingham is England’s second city and still deserving of that title, despite strong competition from Manchester a little further north. Birmingham sits squarely in the centre of the country and is an easily accessible destination for millions of visitors. Like any other UK city it’s an exciting place to be on a weekend evening and for casino-goers there are a number of options available.
Broadway Casino

The Broadway Casino is Birmingham’s biggest independent casino and it’s situated on Ladywood Middleway. It does seem to offer something different from the standard Genting and Grosvenor Casinos.
It has a slightly more varied range of slot machines but away from the reels it has a top quality Asian fusion restaurant, the manhattan bar which is separate from the gaming area and regular events which are always well attended.
The Broadway proves that you don’t have to be a part of a large chain to provide a quality service.

Rainbow Casino
The Rainbow Casino on Portland Road, Edgbaston is another small operator although they do have five other venues around the UK. This one looks from the outside like a huge residence but once you’re in it’s all pretty familiar.
There’s a decent selection of slots here along with the locally popular Clarendon restaurant. Opening hours at the casino are slightly limited – it’s open from 14:00 – 06:00 but there is car parking available.

Genting Casinos
There are three Genting Casinos in easy reach of Birmingham city centre – the Edgbaston Genting, the Chinatown Genting and the Genting Club Star City Casino.
The good thing about visiting one of these venues is that you always know what you’re going to get – a range of twenty or so IGT and Novomatic slots, bar that’s open until 05:30 and a separate restaurant offering a wide choice of food.
Genting Casinos opening hours vary slightly but are generally between midday and around 6am.

Grosvenor Casinos
Where there are Genting Casinos there are also Grosvenor Casinos and Birmingham has two, the Grosvenor G in the Fiveways Leisure Complex and the Grosvenor on Hill Street.
We like the 24 hour nature of these casinos for when we need to play some slots at 10:00 in the morning but we also like the live sports available at the bars and the variety of food available to order.
