Those multiplier boxes above each reel change their values on every spin and they can vary between 1x-10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x and 100x; if you can land three of the Bonus symbols on three adjacent rows then those multipliers above are totalled and applied to the stake.
During the base game you may also be lucky and trigger the Extra Bonus Symbols feature which will lock at least one Bonus in place as the reels are spinning to provide a better chance of triggering the feature.
