As all online slots fans will know there’s no shortage of games themed around Ancient Egypt and if nothing else they give us a working knowledge of the various gods active at the time; Egyptian Dreams is one more to add to the list, it’s developed by Probability/IGT and you can read all about it in our review below.

Egyptian Dreams is a five reel slot with four rows and forty fixed paylines; it’s graphically quite basic but there’s some appropriately theme-related music to accompany your gameplay. The background to the reels is a view of an Egyptian river (perhaps the Nile?) with buildings of various sizes crowded on the banks.

The high value symbols are gods such as Horus and Anubis along with pyramids, an Egyptian boat, the Sphinx and a leopard; lower values are the standard 9, 10, J, Q, K and A.

The wild symbol is Cleopatra and she will replace all others except the gold coin scatter icon.

This is triggered by landing three or more of the gold coin scatter symbols anywhere in view for which you will be awarded ten free spins. Reel five will contain a 3x wild symbol or the Cleopatra wild on each position but these will disappear when used. All other wins are paid at 2x.

Wild Stays Until It Pays

This is perhaps the most interesting aspect of Egyptian Dreams and as the title suggests any wild symbol landing will remain in place until it contributes to a winning combo. This can result in some hefty wins especially if a wild lands on reels four or five and loiters there until a five symbol winning combo comes up.

Verdict

Egyptian Dreams is a decent port from a mobile game, hence the slightly odd design; we particularly like the Wild Stays Until It Pays feature.
