We’ve reviewed plenty of online slots in the past which have as their theme various animals and WMS Gaming have added another one to the mix with the release of Goldfish. Goldfish are the perfect pet in some ways, they cost very little to keep alive and they make no noise and hardly any mess so it’s about time we played a slot dedicated to these colourful creatures.
Goldfish is a five reel and twenty five payline slot with the relaxing backdrop of a large fish tank; sun streams in from the top and several fish swim around looking pretty happy. Not surprisingly all the symbols are fish-related and so from low to high value we have an underwater plant, a net, some colourful bottom-dwelling creatures, a shellfish, a turtle and then fish of various colours – green, blue, purple, red/white and, lastly, gold.
That goldfish is wild and there’s also a container of fish food which activates the bonus feature.
Bonus Features
Random Fish Feature
- This slot contains a large number of features mostly revolving around the random bonus which can be awarded after any spin. A fishbowl will slide on to the screen and a certain fish will jump into it – the colour of that fish determines the bonus awarded:
- Purple Fish – the purple fish will blow three air bubbles which each contain a number; these numbers will rearrange themselves into a three digit figure which will be multiplied by your line bet.
- Red Fish – the red fish will reveal a castle, clam and treasure chest and you must pick one; now you must hope that the fish in the tank will kiss that item because if they do the award value will be increased by varying amounts depending on the fish involved.
- Green Fish – this is very brief mini-game and you will be shown a fish tank containing a number of bubbles; pick one for a cash reward but if you’re lucky you’ll pick the bubble which allows you to collect all the cash.
- Blue Fish – this is the Superscatter feature and you’ll receive between one and three spins. Symbols anywhere on the reels will create winning combos, not just on active paylines. If you don’t win anything you’ll get a 10x multiplier for the triggering line.
- Gold Fish – you’ll get to pick a bubble from a selection on the screen and you’ll win between 5 and 20 spins with a multiplier of between 2x and 10x.
Fish Food Feature
Landing three or more of the fish food scatter symbols will entitle you to play this bonus feature; you’ll be faced with a selection of different coloured food and you need to keep picking until you find three or four matching colours.
Some food is worth more than others or if you’re really lucky you will find three turtles or three gold turtles which will win you one final lucrative pick.

A great theme and a fun game with lots of bonus features. The background music is chilled out as you would expect so we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this slot.
