We’re on something of a classic online slots blitz at the moment and that means refreshing our memories regarding some of the older games available at our recommended online casinos. In this article we’re going to take a look back at Jester’s Jackpot, a Microgaming release which, if nothing else, gets it’s punctuation in the correct places and that’s always a good start.
Jester’s Jackpot is a three reel slot with one payline which follows the simple game design of other Microgaming offerings from this period. Everything takes place on a diamond patterned background and you can see the green eyes of the Jester himself peering out from behind the title.
The reels are situated above our Jester while the ever-useful paytable occupies the right hand side of the screen. The symbols are mostly traditional and include cherries and bars but there’s also the Jester’s bar and the Jester’s hat as the more valuable icons. The Jester’s hat is worth 2400 your stake for three on the sole payline.
Apart from three matching symbols on the payline, you can win with a couple of other combinations:
- Any one or two cherries anywhere on the payline will return 2x or 5x your line stake.
- Three mixed bars will earn you 5x your line stake.
Kick things off by selecting your stake by using the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons below the reels. This will give you a starting wager of £0.25 – £5.00. Now you can use the ‘Bet One’ button to select the coin level and this will allow you to double or triple your wager and the potential payouts respectively.
While some classic slots offer a financial incentive for using maximum coins, there is no such equivalent here – it’s just an opportunity to bet and win proportionately more. With three coins the maximum wager becomes £15.00.
Verdict
The lack of a proper three coin reward means you’re probably better off trying out a game such as Pirates Paradise for a more satisfying gaming experience. Jester’s Jackpot is not a ‘must-try’ game by any means.
