We always like to see a brand new online slot from Net Entertainment and Lost Island is just that; the story here is that this remote location is now a deserted place after the tribes which once lived here took to their boats and moved on. They’ve left behind all their treasures and artefacts and it’s up to you to spin the reels and see what you can find.
Lost Island plays out over five reels and twenty paylines and just visible behind those reels is a landscape full of colourful plants and collapsed ruins. There are five main symbols, all expensive-looking and we’ll describe them as a triangular stone, a blue gem necklace, a green drum, a golden artefact and a round mask. 10, J, Q, K and A make up the lower values.
The wild symbol is a glowing purple flower which will substitute for everything except the scatters. Additionally each wild you land will increase the multiplier for any win to which it contributes by 1x – you can see the little chart with the multipliers 1x – 5x above the reels. The scatter symbol is a golden turtle with a multicoloured gem at it’s centre and it activates the main feature.
Bonus Features
Free Spins
Those pretty looking golden turtle scatter symbols are the key here and to trigger this feature you need to land three or more of them anywhere in view.
You will now receive ten free spins but that’s not all – during this feature a wild symbols will be placed in the centre position on the third reel to help you on your way. Wilds may also appear stacked during the spins which means they appear on top of each other – this should give the player more opportunities for winning combos.
Verdict
This is another superb-looking slot from Net Ent which is well worth checking out; it might not have some of the more creative extras we usually associate with this developer but it’s still top drawer stuff.
