Normally we stick pretty religiously to online slot machines and every so often we dip an experimental toe into the Arcade Slots genre; however it’s not very often that you come across a game like Rock, Paper, Scissors.
If you’d asked us beforehand whether it was possible to turn this popular game/decision-making tool into a worthwhile online diversion we’d probably have backed carefully away from the conversation but there it is – right in front of you on the screen and we’re still not sure if playing it is time well spent.
What’s not in doubt though is that it held our interest for sometime and we actually made a small profit from it but that may have been beginners luck.
Rock, Paper, Scissors is an offering from Playtech and it’s certainly a funky looking game; the action takes place in an arena not unlike a sumo wrestling mat. The hands which make the shapes are disembodied and floating – our hand is on the left with an orange sash and the casino’s hand is on the right in black.
There are two ways to bet on this game; to the left of our hand is the basic choices and you can place a wager on either Rock, Paper or Scissors as you wish. The odds are 2/1 for a win here. On the right the extra options are a wager on how many wins in a row you can manage; the choices are two, three or four with respective odds of 9/1, 26/1 and 78/1.
That’s really all there is to it except to say that there are a number of different betting options; the minimum bet is £0.10 with maximum £100. This is perhaps a good game to relax with if the spinning reels are starting to make you dizzy; it’s good for a laugh but it won’t keep you occupied for too long.
