Fruit-themed online slots are hardly unknown in the world of casino gaming but we’re always pleased to see something a little different and that’s what IGT have given us here. This new game is called Samba de Frutas and it’s twin themes are those of fruit and Latin American dancing.
Samba de Frutas is a five reel slot with a eight rows and up to one hundred paylines; the giant reels are perhaps the most noticeable aspect of this game but we like the retro design also, especially the poster to the right of the screen with the fruit-adorned lady.
There are four high value symbols and these include a dancing lady, a dancing man, a pair of puffins and a pair of parrots; 9, 10, J, Q, K and A make up the standard lower values. The main symbols are slightly stacked and cover two or three reel positions.
The wild symbol is brilliant and it appears stacked on all reels; it’s essentially a lady wearing a lofty hat made up of loads of fruit and tropical birds which stretches upwards to potentially fill the entire reel. It subtitles for all others except the bonus icon which is represented by a pair of maracas.

Verdict
Samba de Frutas is a really good-looking slot which benefits from an interesting design and those giant reels. The free spins are relatively easy to trigger, perhaps because of the huge reels and there’s a variable RTP of 93.37% – 96.05%.
