Solar Nova takes place on the 9×9 grid shown above with its pretty backdrop of glowing planets and drifting objects; wins are formed in this game by creating clusters of at least six symbols which connect horizontally and/or vertically after which those symbols will disappear and be replaced by more falling in from above, potentially continuing the wins. There’s always a wild ‘W’ at the centre of the grid.
The seven regular symbols are gems in various shapes and colours and the we have that central ‘W’ wild, and the rocket multiplier wild.

Solar Nova
On a losing spin the central wild can spark into life and transform up to four symbols into matching ones – these will be symbols in a straight line horizontally and vertically from the wild symbol.
Rocket Wild
If a rocket wild lands and helps out with a win it will stay on the reels and move to an empty position vacated by the collapse; it will also display a multiplier which increases by 1x with each contribution to a win.
Free Spins
Landing at least three of the rocket wild symbols anywhere in view will trigger six free spins and although these can’t be retriggered all the wild rockets on the reels will remain there for this feature, increasing the chances of multiplier wins. If more than one rocket wild helps with a win then all those displayed values will be multiplied together.
If the central wild contributes to at least eight wins during the spins it will become a 3×3 wild symbol.

| Solar Nova is similar in look and feel to other cluster-based, science fiction-themed slots we’ve played before but it does introduce some interesting features such as the central Solar Wild and the roaming Rocket Wilds.
