Blueprint Gaming have previously produced two Goonies-themed slot machines (here and here) and now we have the third in the series – it’s called The Goonies – Hey You Guys! and we rejoin our three ageless friends (and Sloth) as they endeavour to win us free spin, instant cash prizes and various reel modifiers.
The Goonies – Hey You Guys! is a five reel slot with ten fixed paylines – the design and the sounds are similar to the previous games but obviously updated with some extra clarity and quality on show. The reels spin on a map laid out on the deck of the film\s famous pirate ship.
Three of the films protagonists – Mikey, Mouth and Data – along with the pirate flag represent the high value symbols while J, Q, K and A make up the lower values. The silver coin is wild and the special symbols are Sloth (on reel five), the skull scatter and the gold coins.

Cash Collect
The gold coins with the cash values attached may land on reels one to four and if Sloth appears on reel five also you’ll win the sum of those coins. The jackpot prizes can also land and be won in the same way. Sloth will expand to fill his reel and when the prize has been awarded he’ll increment the ‘Sloth Meter’ on theft hand side. The next level is reached by landing the preceding Sloth on reel five so, for example, a Respin Sloth will unlock the Boost Sloth which will then unlock the Super Collect.
You’ll always start the game with the first Sloth in place on the meter and the following collected ones work like this:
- Respin Sloth – all coins are locked in place and the remaining reels respin for a chance to win more.
- Boost Sloth – collects all coin values and boosts that sum before it’s awarded.
- Super Collect – the coin values are collected and awarded up to ten times.
These remain active while you’re playing the game and a Sloth on reel five will always be one of the unlocked versions.
Free Spins
Three skull scatter symbols on reels two, three and four will award ten free spins and all those unlocked Sloths will be active during this round.
In addition there’s a new meter above the reels which also collects Sloths as follows:
- Three Sloths – awards five extra spins and a 2x win multiplier.
- Six Sloths – awards five extra spins and a 3x win multiplier.
- Nine Sloths – awards five extra spins and a 5x win multiplier.
- Twelve Sloths – awards five extra spins and a 10x win multiplier.
Hey You Guys! Reel Modifiers
These are activated at random on any spin:
- Hidden Treasure – extra coins are added to the reels.
- Bonus Boost – extra scatter symbols are added to the reels.
- Dynamite Wilds – dynamite explodes and creates wild symbols.
- Cave In – some symbols are replaced for a guaranteed win.
