Alchemy Gaming is one of a number of independent development studios supplying online slot machines to Microgaming and Wheel of Wishes is their first outing – it’s an Arabian-themed outing which promises players a progressive jackpot and the option to purchase Power Spins.
Wheel of Wishes is a five reel slot with three rows and ten fixed paylines; there’s a desert setting for those reels which alternates between the toasty North African day and the chilly, starry night.
High value symbols include the magic lamp, a treasure chest full of gold and gems, a spell book, some vials of a mysterious potion and a pendant; playing card symbols in various colours and a purple circle represent the lower values.
The wild is a silver and gold ‘Wild’ which will substitute for all standard symbols while the wheel is the scatter symbol.
Bonus Features
Power Spin
Landing two of the wheel scatter symbols anywhere in view will award one Power Spin; what’s a Power Spin you may ask? Well it’s one spin in which the middle three reels only contain large, 3×3, high value and wheel symbols while reels one and five spin one selected high value symbol.
Hopefully there’s a big win waiting for you here but the real aim is to land the big wheel fully in view which will then spin to reveal a guaranteed progressive jackpot prize. The Wowpot! jackpot is the biggest one and always worth at least £2m.
Power Mode
This is an optional extra bet and not for the faint-hearted because it increases your stake by 10x; doing so will mean that all spins are now Power Spins with a better chance of landing a progressive jackpot.
Verdict
We always like a slot which offers something a bit different and the features in Wheel of Wishes demonstrate the sort of creativity we don’t see very often; the Power Mode is a very tempting purchase but perhaps only for the higher rollers.
